Showcasing the arts this Friday

Tickets are still available for the phenomenal ARTS SHOWCASE by Lionize Arts.

This inspirational company was founded by its Principal Director, Leah Oliver.

From her website she writes:
Her mission was to find a way to bring unity and cohesion within the community of Milton Keynes, by means of utilising the benefits and enjoyment of the performing arts. Leah believes that everyone regardless of background, culture or wealth, should all be given opportunity to express themselves artistically and constructively. Leah says -

" As a teacher, the most disheartening thing I see is when students leave a course, then maybe because the desire to progress onto higher education or particular employment seems beyond their reach - they sadly relinquish dreams and ambitions that seem unobtainable to them. Time and time again I see people with a love for the arts that simply let go of it, as its competitive nature for employment makes them think they will never make it or get anything worthwhile from being involved. It's time for that to stop. We as a community, should be empowering and supporting each other to make one another realise that anything is possible. And what better way to do it, then to do it together. Lionize Arts wants to deal with current, on trend and contemporary issues and topics that hold relevance, importance and influence on society today. Again, another example of how we are not restrictive and are embracing the wider community, by exploring subjects and matters that are significant and of interest to the community."

"In the current fast-paced world, we sadly have little time for self-development. Pearson’s “2 in 1” series structures its content for the busy manager. The grey pages are full of tips, ideas and insights – things you can try immediately, but then when you get the time to think about why something was effective, the “big picture” section looks that the context and theory behind the ideas. This supports managers not just in knowing what to do, but in understanding why they are doing it, and as such empowers them to implement their own actions based on that understanding."
Gary Fay
Maria Jensen
Speakers include Maria Jensen, Manager of Amtrac Ltd, and Gary Fay co-director and founder of Identifi Global - talent recruitment agency, who will also be offering CV support throughout the evening.

The evening is aimed at new and aspiring managers, is free to attend (although it is by invitation only), and is even CPD accredited to 2 hours (or 2 CPD points).
