TUESDAY Nov 17th, 10PM "SOUNDTRACKS” WITH TONY CARTY – NEW AND OLD
Marking the 90th birthday of composer Johnny Mandel, and there’s music by Marvin Hamlisch and Erich Korngold. There’s an astonishing song –given the age of the writer. There are also pieces from new movie releases like Condemned, Stonewall, Carol, Truth, and Deep Web plus TV music such as Sherlock, The Knick and Better Call Saul.
With music for zombies, tasers, Sinatra, German lieder, a discarded song, whooping-for-joy and a suicide-averting angel, it’s the usual same-old unvaried monotony.
UPCOMING SHOWS:
24 Nov: Music for kaleidoscope patterns of dancers as we recall BUSBY BERKLEY musicals
1 Dec: The movies of director OTTO PREMINGER and actor ELI WALLACH

GRUMPY OLD MEN - WITH THE GRUMPY OLD MEN!
The Grumpy Old Men have decided that it would be an idea to allow a grumpy old woman to join them between 9-9.15 on Saturday mornings.
REWIND - IN CASE YOU MISSED IT!
"LIFESTYLE MK - Friends'll be there for you" (Saturdays 12pm - 2pm)
Lifestyle MK looked at Friendships this week. The show was packed with your usual fun features - Ashley ("How To...Guru") giving tips on how to make friends, Robb (Personal Trainer) discussed the merits of working out with friends and Dr Jamie (Vet) looked at the things we do that upset our furry friends. The team was delighted to have so many tweets as Gill and Audrey debated the good the bad and the ugly of friendship! We also had our weekly quizzes and trivia and a very special Dave's Man Cave which looked at fulfilling the biggest honour you can do for friends - be a "Best Man".
Although not a political show, we received a request for "Le Marseillaise" - we played the French Eurovision entry "N'Oubliez Pas" - Never Forget - to show our solidarity with our Parisian friends in the same way as they stood with us on 7/7 and with the US on 9/11.
Catch the shows on SPREAKER
Next week, we're looking at family and other loved ones with our show on Relationships!! Tune in from 12 - 2 on Saturdays and Live the Moment with us.
