Do you fancy giving bug hunting or pond dipping a go? If the answer is yes join us at Howe Park Wood this weekend!

Join The Parks Trusts’ Rangers, members of Milton Keynes Natural History Society and The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust on Saturday 2nd July 2016, 11-4pm at the next ‘Nature Day’ in Howe Park Wood.
Nature Day’ is a free event for all ages to enjoy which will include nature walks, bug hunting, a bat display from our local bat group, ferrets, a storyteller, pond dipping, and lots of children’s activities. Also, Bucks Owl and Raptor Group- ‘Give A Hoot’ will be there to teach the children about Owls and how to look after them and he will also be bringing a special guest with him - George the Owl!
Briony Fox, Head of Community Engagement at The Parks Trust, said: “There will be a chance to speak to experts about the wildlife, take part in fun activities whilst enjoying the outdoors. There is something for everyone from nature walks and guided tours to pond dipping.”
Milton Keynes Natural History Society will be on hand to provide additional advice.
The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust protects wildlife and enhances iconic landscapes across their three counties. They look after 88 nature reserves, run events, speak up for wildlife and inspire thousands of children to discover the joys of the natural world. This event gives BBO Wildlife Trust the chance to talk about what the local Wildlife Trust does and to share some great tips on helping wildlife at home.

Please meet in the car park on H7, Chaffron Way opposite the Westcroft Centre. No booking necessary.
